Media-Sponsor 2020

RBC Presents: A VIRTUAL Evening in Damascus returns on its sixth year to take you on an elegant trip on the Silk Road to the heart of Damascus. This year is unlike any year before it! If we can't take you to Damascus, we will be bringing Damascus to you. Drag Queens, Belly Dancers, Mawlaweh Twirlers, Oud Players and more; all in your own home. Also, if you're in Metro Vancouver, you can order Syrian food from Tayybeh, to celebrate the night in style. All to support a great cause!

An Evening in Damascus

Over the past six years, this event has raised $150K to fund the safe passage of queer refugees to come to Canada! This year, our focus will be on providing Rainbow Refugee Society with the funds they need to weather the time of COVID-19. There are unique challenges facing newcomers and asylum-seekers in the time of COVID-19, as well as so many people with approval to come to Canada who can't get on a flight and finally make it home. This year, we are here for them.

An Evening in Damascus
